IISRA is a global association of professionals dedicated to promoting excellence in investigator initiated-sponsored research (IISR) grant support programs. The Association is committed to supporting the membership through the development and implementation of educational activities, professional knowledge standards, and ethical practices.

IISRA seeks to advance the understanding and innovation of future standards by increasing the opportunity for communication, providing resources for benchmarking program performance and developing and sharing tools, policies and/or practices that improve IISR program efficiency, productivity, and compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, policies and procedures.
